Augmentations, or Augments for short, are mystical stones that can bind with weapons. They provide a benefit to the user, usually damage, while the augmented weapon is equipped. Once bound, the augmentation is permanently fixed to the weapon, but in Knothole Island, there is an Augment Remover Tool to take the augments off of your weapons. However, there are great bonuses to Augments. Some may increase the amount of gold, experience, or even attractiveness. Some of the "cheaper" augments have some drawbacks, such as an exchange of strength to be more easily killed/knocked out.

Most, if not all, augments in a single weapon do not have an increased effect when duplicated.

Flame Augmentation
Effect: additional damage to creatures harmed by fire

The Flame Augmentation appears as a clear Red gemstone inscribed with golden markings. Like all other Augmentations you can only add a Flame Augmentation to a weapon that has an open Augmentation slot, and after doing so it can't be removed. Weapons that contain a Flame Augmentation do extra flame damage against all enemies, making them effective against enemies weak to fire. The weapon also gains a flaming appearance, such if a sword had one, then a flame will run down the blade every few seconds.

The Health Augmentation is one of the original eight Augmentations from the original Fable and Fable TLC games. It has only appeared a few times in the original Fable and Fable TLC mainly in three swords, the Sword of Aeons, Avo's Tear, and the Solus Greatsword.

The Mana Augmentation is an augment that can be attached to any weapon with an available augment slot. This augment allow your mana to recharge faster every time the augmented weapon is wielded.

The Mana Augmentation is found in chests (Headman's Cave) or bought from the weapon smith in Snowspire Village (replenishes every 10 days) or from the weapon smith in Hook Coast (can only be bought once). The augmentation also comes with the Sword of Aeons, Avo's Tear and the Dollmaster's Mace. It charges your Will mana faster.
